Homeroom ("we," "us") is a homeschool planning and record-keeping app. This page explains what information we collect when you use Homeroom, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Account information: your email address and password, used to create and sign in to your account. Passwords are never stored in readable form — our authentication provider (Supabase) stores them using standard industry hashing.

Content you enter: the names of kids/students you add, subjects you create, and the lesson plans and log notes you write. This is the core data Homeroom exists to store on your behalf.

We do not collect location data, browsing history outside this app, or any information from third-party trackers or advertising networks. We don't run ads.

Your account and content data are used exclusively to provide the app's functionality to you: signing you in, and storing and displaying your kids, subjects, plans, and logs. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your email address may be used to send you account-related messages (confirming your email address, password reset links). We don't send marketing email.

Homeroom is intended for use by a parent, guardian, or educator who creates their own account. Kids' names entered into the app are labels chosen and entered by the adult account holder for their own personal record-keeping — children themselves do not create accounts, log in, or interact with Homeroom directly, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

If you believe a child has created an account directly or that we hold information collected directly from a child, please contact us using the details below and we will remove it.

Data is stored with Supabase, a database provider that enforces row-level security — meaning the underlying database itself is configured so your data can only be read or modified by your own signed-in account, not by other Homeroom users.

No method of storing or transmitting data is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.

You can export your log data as a text file at any time from Settings. You can delete all of your plans and logs from Settings. To delete your account entirely, contact us at the email below and we will remove your account and all associated data.

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
